Melissa is a Paediatric Speech Pathologist who enjoys working with children and families to help them reach their communication goals. As a mother herself, Melissa values taking a family centred approach and understands the varied needs of children and busy families. She has experience working with children with a range of complex developmental needs and disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Disorder/ Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ ADHD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Speech Sound Disorders, and Dyslexia. Melissa has a special interest in paediatric feeding, speech sounds and language intervention.

Melissa is currently trained in, MULTILIT, PEERS social skills for young adults and the Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme. She has completed the Advanced Workshop for the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and is due to complete her certification in the following months. Melissa has also completed masterclasses in Feeding Therapy and the Babble and Munch training course and workshops. Melissa is enrolled to begin her training in Oro-Facial Myology through the Australian Academy of Orofacial Myology. Melissa enjoys learning and is regularly engaging in professional development to ensure that her therapy approach is current, and evidence based.
