Lauren is a Speech Pathologist with experience in a range of areas of Speech Pathology. She was inspired to become a speech pathologist after receiving speech therapy as a child for a speech disorder. Lauren has always been passionate about working with children, having worked as a Childcare Educator before becoming a speech pathologist.

Whilst passionate about all areas of Speech Pathology, Lauren has a particular interest in supporting children with disabilities, especially Autism Spectrum Disorder, and children from vulnerable backgrounds. At university, Lauren conducted an Honours research project focusing on a new sensory-based intervention to improve the communication and interactions of people with severe disabilities. She was awarded the Dean’s List of Excellence in Academic Performance in her final year of studies.

Lauren is a firm believer in providing holistic and family-centred care to all clients and is committed to ongoing professional development. She has trained in a variety of specific therapy approaches such as the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Key Word Sign (KWS), DIR Floor time and Secret Agents Society (SAS).  She has attended additional workshops in how Speech Pathologists can collaborate with Music Therapists and how to support children with severe speech disorders.
