- Better Access – Mental Health Plan (BAMH)
Occupational Therapy
This is a Medicare Initiative aimed at providing funding to patients with a mental health disorder to allow them better access to services. This includes children diagnosed with deficits in social functioning, behavioural problems, anxiety, ASD and sensory processing disorder.
- EPC – Chronic Disease Management
Occupational Therapy & Speech Pathology
This is a Medicare initiative aimed at children and adults who have chronic problems. Chronic is defined as extending beyond 16 weeks, so by their nature, most speech and language difficulties are chronic. If your child has a communication difficulty and is under the care of two health professionals (either a Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Audiologist or Paediatrician) the Enhanced Primary Care Plan is completed by your GP.

Private Health Funds
Capable Kids is registered with all of the major health funds. We have HICAPS facilities to allow you to claim your rebate on the spot. Please contact your health fund provider to see if you are covered for Speech and Occupational Therapy.
