Feeding Therapy

Welcome to the Capable Kids Feeding Clinic

At Capable Kids, we understand that feeding challenges can be complex and multifaceted, especially for children diagnosed with specific feeding disorders such as Paediatric Feeding Disorder or Avoidant/Restricted Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). Our Feeding Clinic is dedicated to supporting children who face difficulties with eating and may benefit from additional feeding support.

Why Choose Our Feeding Clinic?

Our approach is unique. We offer a multidisciplinary team composed of Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Psychology professionals. This team collaborates closely to provide comprehensive support tailored to each child and family. Our therapists are trained in various feeding therapy models, including the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach and Responsive Feeding techniques, ensuring that we can address the wide range of challenges your child may face.

Comprehensive Assessment and Personalised Therapy

We begin with a thorough, family-centered assessment to understand the specific needs of your child. Based on this assessment, we craft individualised strategies and goals to support your child’s journey towards overcoming feeding difficulties. Whether your child struggles with missing food groups from their diet, feels overwhelmed during meal times, or is sensitive to different tastes, smells, or textures, our team is here to help.
